As you may know, MCAlagaesia 2.0 has been planned for quite a while. MCAlagaesia 2.0 will replace the old MCAlagaesia v4. Goals for the MCAlagaesia Map 2.0: - Twice the size of MCAlagaesia v4 (The current map)
- Wider rivers
- Smoother transitions from land to water
- Smoother transitions from plains to dense forest
- Multiple new mountain heightmaps to "diversify" the ranges
- Trees built by MCAlagaesians
What would you like to see in the next version? Development is underway and we welcome your feedback.

Wow, looks like you've got a lot on your plate. What happens to the old/current map?

Wow, looks like you've got a lot on your plate. What happens to the old/current map? MCAlagaesia 4 (The version before v2.0) will be used on the server until the new map is finished. Then we'll replace the old MCAlagaesia 4 with MCAlagaesia 2.0

Actually, most of the structures from MCAlagaesia 4 can be saved as schematics and imported onto MCAlagaesia v2.0, so it might not take as long as you expect! :-)

Yeah, most structures will be kept the same when imported, however we will update some or completely redo them, which shouldn't take too long.

What's the problem? You don't need to download anything to play on MCAlagaesia - just your normal vanilla client. As for joining the server, we're currently offline, but it's being worked on. The build server is scheduled to go online in one to two weeks and the public beta testing servers shortly after that.

That's the plan, yes, although perhaps a few days later than Tuesday. Should be up by next Friday at the latest.

How do you ride a dragon? Will it get higher quality later on? We're not sure at the moment. Developer Azza005 will continue working on that plugin after he finishes some of his other Java projects. To ride a dragon, you'll need to have a saddle in your hand. As there's no (serverside) way to render the saddle, you'll have to do this every time you want to ride your dragon, so you'll get the saddle back when you dismount. Also, due to lag and similar issues, dragons will have to be removed when you log out. When you log back in, your dragon will be respawned beside you. Even this might cause some issues, so another solution is if you don't ride your dragon for a few minutes, it will be turned into an egg and placed in your inventory until you want to fly again. Nothing is set and we welcome input, especially from a developer's perspective. Overall, it's a huge plugin involving a lot of work and is still in the planning stages. As such, it might not be implemented until the public beta. As for your second question, of course it will! There will always be small (or major!) performance improvements bug fixes made to all plugins for the life of the MCAlagaesia Network.

what will be the server ip when it is online We have a few ideas, but we're not going to disclose them yet as nothing's been set in stone.
