How do you ride a dragon? Will it get higher quality later on? We're not sure at the moment. Developer Azza005 will continue working on that plugin after he finishes some of his other Java projects. To ride a dragon, you'll need to have a saddle in your hand. As there's no (serverside) way to render the saddle, you'll have to do this every time you want to ride your dragon, so you'll get the saddle back when you dismount. Also, due to lag and similar issues, dragons will have to be removed when you log out. When you log back in, your dragon will be respawned beside you. Even this might cause some issues, so another solution is if you don't ride your dragon for a few minutes, it will be turned into an egg and placed in your inventory until you want to fly again. Nothing is set and we welcome input, especially from a developer's perspective. Overall, it's a huge plugin involving a lot of work and is still in the planning stages. As such, it might not be implemented until the public beta. As for your second question, of course it will! There will always be small (or major!) performance improvements bug fixes made to all plugins for the life of the MCAlagaesia Network. how will you get the egg?

is the survival server's map actually Alagaesia? and when will it become a roleplay server? The survival server has a randomly generated 1.8 map, so no, we're not using the Alagaesia map. The survival server will never become the RPG server. When MCAlagaesia is online, we'll convert the MCAlagaesia build server into the RPG server, so you'll be able to play the MCAlagaesia Survival and the MCAlagaesia Roleplay.

Dragon eggs will rarely spawn in certain locations. A staff member may also bestow one upon you if he or she believes you show excellent qualities such as helpfulness, respect, responsibility, etc.

Im assuming it will not be the same? Not at all, it's double the size! Although most structures that have already been built can be carried over.

uhh what about using your dragon in fighting? Ive seen some mods that inculde dragons (orespawn) but thats a minor part of the mod; The planned dragon mechanics are very basic at the moment. Are you thinking of dragons biting players or breathing fire? Cause that will happen one day - not in the beta release though. Frankly I was thinking fire; but biting ( ) would be cool too

quick question what is the dimensions of this map? The area of the map is 199,606,272 blocks squared, which is 199,606 kilometers or 124,030 miles. The dimensions of the map are 16,768 blocks by 11,904 blocks, which is about 17 kilometers by 12 kilometers or roughly 10.5 miles by 7.5 miles. It's rather smaller than we would like, but there are still hundreds of factors that limit how big we can make the map, chief among them being how realistic the terrain (especially mountains) will be. If you want to compare it, we've calculated that (based on distances mentioned in the books) that a truly, 1:1 scale, full-size Alagaesia would be about 50,000 blocks by 75,000 blocks, which just isn't possible. If the Minecraft height limit is increased, we'll think about creating a full size world as the size of mountains won't be as limited. "Quick question" - Long answer!

On another, completely unrelated note - You're almost halfway to forum Bronze!!

By quick question I was simply asking for the 16,768 by 11,904 blocks lol I've used WorldPainter before
