actually the number of restrictions on that world/server are too unresponsive; if I could get access to things such as WorldEdit; Plotme claim, and this was simply annoying toggledownfall then I would use that server else I can use my own :/

WorldEdit: It's common knowledge that improper use of WorldEdit causes lag. We can't allow new users access to these commands, which is why we only allow access to the plugin after a user has been accepted as a builder. From what I've seen of your builds (the ones you post here), you don't use WorldEdit very much, if at all. Plotme Claim: Why do you need "/plotme claim"? Just use "/plotme auto". This was done to prevent users from creating plots thousands of blocks away from spawn. Toggledownfall: Ahh, yes. This was just a small problem with config files, it will be fixed ASAP. We'll have permanent sun. Using our server allows us to give you real-time feedback on your build, review it with you and suggest changes. Overall, it's much easier for us and our players, but if you prefer to build on your own server, we won't stop you. :-)

quick follow up; what update is the build server running? We're running CraftBukkit 1.7.9. You can join in either 1.7.9 or 1.7.10. We can't update to 1.8 until Bukkit (or a bukkit alternative) is released for this version, with compatibility for our plugins. A vanilla creative server is very unmanageable for our requirements

Why is the build server in 1.7.9 and not in 1.8?

Is the build server the way to get accepted as a builder on the primary server?

Is the build server the way to get accepted as a builder on the primary server? If you wish, you can submit builds via the forums Build Submissions section, however the server is usually much easier. :-)

Logically, there'll be more accepted submissions of builders from the server, and that's not even taking into account how easy it is for our staff to review creations on the server as opposed to downloading a schematic or world and setting up an environment in which they can view it.

As a new member of the server and an eager builder, I'm curious to know what my chances of becoming a builder are, and how long it may take. I'm more than willing to continue building on the build server for fun if nothing else, and certainly to build structures that may be used in the main server, but as I said before I'd like to get an idea of how much work I'll have to put in to have a chance at becoming a builder.
Hope to meet many of you on the build server!
