Many members of the Minecraft community were outraged with rumors that Microsoft was to purchase Mojang before the end of the month, however it seems that Microsoft are going to be sensible with the game, respecting first and foremost the community that they bought with it. Full news article here.“‘ Minecraft’ is one of the most popular franchises of all time,” said Phil Spencer, head of Xbox. “ We are going to maintain ‘Minecraft’ and its community in all the ways people love today, with a commitment to nurture and grow it long into the future.” I look forward to seeing what Microsoft will bring to Minecraft and the community.

I mean, they bought it for 2.5 billion, which means they plan to make all that money up somehow.
