To whom it may concern,
If PVP is going to be implemented, I'm curious to see how it would work. 1) Besides all the cool spells, what gear will be banned and what won't? (God Gapples, Sharp V, etc.) 2) Will teaming be allowed? 3) Can you grief blocks in certain areas? (Mining Area, Tree Farm Area, etc.) 4) Will Kit's exist? (/Kit Human, /Kit Dwarve, etc.)
Thanks for answering!

PvP is going to be allowed, but we're working on multiple ways to discourage it and promote a friendly player environment. Very few items are banned or blacklisted, however it will take a lot of time, effort and resources to get overpowered items. Teaming is encouraged! Certain blocks can be broken, but we haven't decided on the particulars of this feature yet. There'll be no kits. Kits are cheaty! No problem! :-)

can we attack people if they agree to pvp? I think it would be interesting if you could challenge other players to a fight.

can we attack people if they agree to pvp? You can attack people even if they don't agree, but you'll probably become a marked man. We're not stopping PvP, only encouraging teamwork.

Then let's cross our fingers that we don't have any blood-thirsty players on the server! xD There's multiple features that will discourage PvP. For example, when you kill a player, you'll get the message "A little magic was ripped from your soul as you murder {playername}", and a small amount of your magic research will be removed. It's not much, so players are still welcome to PvP if they want to. Also, you can't lose a spell you've already researched.

This entire project is coming together so well!

Yes, killing a person rips apart your soul, as proven by Harry Potter in reference to the method of creating horcruxes. Maybe if we implement a wanted level for players who murder each other or steal stuff etc they could be caught by others and have to pay a fine depending on the infringement, instead of being killed. An eye for an eye just makes the whole world blind.

Plus, putting someone in prison for a few hours isn't really that much of a penalty. If we incorporate a temp ban for it, then it should be at least a day to a week if you murder someone or a group of people. Also, the severity of punishment should depend on whether you respawn as the same person or as a different person. I think respawning as a different person would be very cool, but this would mean that you could lose a lot of progress if someone killed you, so we would have to incorporate wards, severe punishment for killing, etc.
