Since we are not using the Ghast model for the Dragons now, we could use them for the Lethrblaka, and use something else for the Raz'zac, maybe skeletons or something. I had suggested the Ghasts be used as Spirits. They wouldn't work as Lethrblaka anyway because they don't have the right shape. I think the Ra'zac will just have to be completely killed off on this server. we should make the ra'zac wither skeletons, they give off wither poison, which is like in the books too! They are also taller than regular mobs so they will be more distinguishable.

could i do some of the textures for the dragons? i could even (attempt) to make a full alagaesia texture pack! You sure can! Can't wait to see it if you do! I'll have to give you a short list of retextures that need to be done, but otherwise it's basically the vanilla pack. Because it's the default pack for the server, we don't want to give players a pack that they might not like, thus it'll be mostly vanilla with some retextures. When the default pack is complete, we'll look at adding on to other popular packs (if permitted, of course) to make them suitable for MCAlagaesia. well, could you actually give me some of the textures soon? i havent begun work yet because i've had a cold but now thats its the holidays ill start working hard out!

Great idea! Until we can have multiple textures for each mob, with the server able to select which texture to use, a blue dragon would be the best option.

This whole limitation of only server-side plugins is really inconvenient; it takes literally all of five minutes to set this up with forge. But I completely understand where you are coming from, because it should be as little setup for the player as possible. Someone in the world has probably already figured out how to do this...but I've google searched lots and lots and found very little. Vanilla Minecraft is very limited in a lot of ways.

There was some discussion on the Sponge forums about allowing servers to send mods to clients, however this won't happen for security reasons. We don't want players to have to download anything to be able to play, so we want to do as much as possible everything serverside. Many people cannot install mods for many reasons, some being that our mods could conflict with their existing mods, their computer cannot support it, they can't run jar files for whatever reason or they simply don't know how to install mods.

Yeah, this server should be open to everyone so we have better turnout, more players, and an overall improved playing environment! You never know, a server-side mod could be developed to change the texture of individual entities. It's just a matter of time; improvements and new developments are constantly being made! (And we have quite a while before MCA will be up and running considering all the work to be done )

There'll be a lot of work if we decide to switch to it, though.

But if there's a modder with what we need for the server, it's worth it!

We should call Mojang and complain about how minecraft is just NOT GOOD ENOGH YET AND THEY NEEDTO SOLVE ALL THEIR MAJOR PROBLEMS, like; dragon lag, multiple block textures feature missing, no baby dragons, no teenage dragons, no specialised support for MCA...
