So I am building a computer for the first time (I am no computer expert, and do not claim to be) for the specific purpose of gaming, because my current computer that I'm using (a laptop) isn't really powerful enough for higher level games such as planetside 2 or skyrim on max settings. I'm not really sure why I'm making this thread, I'm just kind of putting it out there.
Specs:
MoBo: Asus Z87-A CPU: i5-4690k GPU: NVIDA Geforce GTX 760 2gb PSU: EVGA Supernova 650 Watt RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1tb Case: Cougar solution ATX Mid tower Monitor: ASUS VE247 LCD
So that's it. If anyone else has built a computer, Idk post on here or something xD

Cool! im not sure where you are getting the parts from, but I can always find some really nice deals on newegg.com I just looked up your CPU on it, and they have it for $239.99 www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113347 . They have excellent service, that's were I ordered most of my parts from , not sure if they ship to Australia though

I'm getting almost everything from CPL, which is Australia-Based and I can pick everything up for free :-)

If you ever consider upgrading it in the future, maybe look into the AMD CPUs, they are really good for gaming (often better than the Intels)... You probably aren't going to put in another couple hundred to get a different CPU since you already got it but...
