Hi guys, im back and i thought i might raise the question of whether prision and/or other punishments should be implemented. im not saying we should turn this into gta with wanted levels and everything, but if you kill someone or kill a group of people (as stated in another post death is serious-ish now) you should go to prision, and if you rob someone you can get fined. this wouldn't be admin run, a member of a town guard wuold have to arrest people, or rewards could be offered. i dont know if this a good idea, as it might encorage revenge and bounty hunters, but hey tell me what you think.

Plus maybe you lose any titles of honor cuz you acted unhonorably.

Well it depends. Did you kill someone in self-defense? Maybe admins could act like judges to determine sentences and stuff.

Maybe admins could act like judges to determine sentences and stuff. Unfortunately, unless a member of staff was watching at the beginning of the fight, it's impossible to tell who started it. What if a player kills in self defence? They would get the blame for something that the other player started. We can't fix this by creating a plugin to check who hit the other player first. What if the first player fires an arrow at you, but misses, and you land the first real hit on them? You'd be blamed for the kill because you landed the first hit, even though you didn't initiate the fight. After all, we don't want people to be discouraged from defending themselves, nor do we want to completely remove the aspect of PvP from the game. We already have multiple ways to encourage teamwork over PvP, and this might be going over the top.

maybe have varying punishments
for the amounts it would have to be within one day like if you kill a person a day you wouldn't be punished
also all days are minecraft day
also there are exceptions like if you're at war or if you are practicing pvp
if you murder one person you don't get punished
two people jail for two days or fined in ore
for three people three days in jail and gold, diamonds, and emeralds as a fine
four people is the same as three
5+ people and you get inventory wipe

maybe we should just have a "report" system (in roleplay) so you can call up a mod and they can decide a punishment, or talk to the mod team or something.
