It ended up being 2.5 billion* Never trust rumours. They never seem to get the numbers correct. And that's the most important part, right? I mean if that rumour were correct it would've robbed mojang of $500 million that it clearly deserves. That's an increase of 25%. Pretty significant difference.

The world needs more people like Notch. My eyes teared up there a little lol I think that he made the right choice. if he wasn't having fun and doing what he wanted, he had every right to sell up and leave. but we do need more notches, because where else do innovative games come from? only self proclaimed computer nerds.

I so totally agree! I just wish he hasn't sold it to Microsoft. I hope they won't super-corporate it and ruin the essence of the game. The employee roster hasn't really changed, but now Microsoft has a big say in what goes on, so I'm a tad worried. DONT MESS THIS UP MICROSOFT.

Nothing drastic has changed yet... Yet. :/ And tbh imo idc that you can't pay anymore because then there's less cheating and I can't waste my money buying diamond swords on a minecraft server I also used waaaaaaay too many texting acronyms in the first sentence of above paragraph.
