But as for the first one, here are my thoughts: I actually really would like to see it implemented. It was kind of a major event in the last book, and mentioned to be used in the battle at Vroengard. However, there is one problem with implementing it. If we make it too powerful, and there is no major "punishment" or losses sustained for dying on the server, people would use it waaaaay too often. That's why if we were to do this, then dying would have to be treated more seriously, like losing all of your possessions and maybe even things like your status as a rider if you were one. Stuff like that. Then this could be made into a really powerful spell, like one with a huge 50 block blast radius!

Blocking is definitly something we need to introduce. wards would deflect blows and magic, but would wear down your hunger bar. the laughing dead is something that we dont really need to add, as it was only used by a madman for crazy solders. and since we will only have at most 100 players at a time its not likewe will have many wars with masses of players. still, its a good idea if we want to implement it It isn't for masses of players, it is for whoever wants to use it. It offers the advantage of another heart or two, yet you don't know if you are low on health. And I think we will get above 100 players, easily a few hundred individual players that at peak time would probably get it up to 150-200 on at once. if we get over 100 people on at a time i will be very suprised...

Minecraft was made to be a game where death and respawn was integral to gameplay, so changing it that severely would take a lot modification. But it is doable.

I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere but what about /waíse heill, for a basic heal of 2-5 hearts depending on your skill with magic. This has probably been added already but i thought i would mention it.

It would have to be at an EXTREME cost if you weren't to die. otherwise people would just abuse it.

does be not nessesarily mean suicide though? It would have to be at an EXTREME cost if you weren't to die. otherwise people would just abuse it. Waise neiat was referenced twice in the books, once when a Rider used it on Vroengard during the fall of the Riders, and once when Galbatorix used it in Uru'baen after the creation of the spell of understanding. It literally turned the atoms of their body into pure energy and radiation (thus they were no longer existent...the command being "be not"). So, I don't really see how it wouldn't be a suicide command. It destroys your body. But I think there should be a minimum energy requirement if you try to perform this spell, so you can't just as a last dying spell do it to kill your killer, you would need to still have energy left.

It would pretty much be like completely starting over.

the whole point i was bringing up was that basically everyone within the area of effect dies and definitely the user of the spell dies heck i made it work with command blocks in vanilla.

Actually, I think it should probably be more like an explosion were damage is dependent on distance from the player source. On top of that, it would give the wither effect to everyone in the area, and if possible maybe anybody who enters the area for a certain time also gets the wither effect. One could protect themselves from the radiation with a spell such as skolir eitrum (poison shield).
